The Bailey’s Women’s Prize for Fiction is awarded annually and celebrates female authors from around the world.
The longlist was packed-full of books from a number of talented authors, and these were whittled down to only 6 books to form the shortlist. The judges (Helen Fraser, Denise Mina, Caitlin Moran, Mary Beard and Sophie Raworth) have an extremely tough job on their hands to pick only one winner from this year’s extremely strong shortlist.
To celebrate the shortlist, we at The Book Club have decided to read all 6 books before the overall winner is announced on 4th June – A large undertaking, yes.
And the best part is, you can join us! We have put together a reading schedule, to enable us to fit in all 6 books, which can be seen below. You can also follow our progress and tweet us your thoughts on the books over at The Book Club.
Get involved and let us know what you think. We will be sharing our thoughts here and over on Twitter about the winner on June 4th.
